EV Biotech is a biotechnology company that creates microbial production platforms for high-value chemicals and proteins using computational modelling and microorganisms. By combining classical fermentation methods with the latest developments in modelling approaches we have revolutionised the methods of microbial strain engineering. Our microbial cells factories (MCFs) provide effective, bio-based alternatives to conventional chemical-synthetic production processes. Scope of the position:

As HR Officer you are the bridge between our employees and the company. Within EV Biotech’s fast-growing team, you are the main responsible for recruiting, supporting and developing talent both by drafting policies and by managing processes. You contribute to the creation and implementation of a sustainable HR strategy and ensure our human resources practices and procedures are in compliance with local regulation and our business objectives. 

Translated into day-to-day responsibilities and tasks, you may think of:

• Coordinating and participating in recruitment procedures

• Creating a positive work environment with a clear company culture

• Executing the onboarding process for new hires

• Acting as contact person for EV’s personnel accountants and advisors and Health & Safety Service

• Liaising with team resource managers about team wellbeing and functioning

• Supporting the management of disciplinary and grievance issues

• Maintaining employee records according to policy and legal requirements

• Developing training and development plans and assisting in performance management processes

• Making appropriate changes to policies and procedures as required

• Contributing to writing and updating of employee handbook

You have:

Being a versatile and enthusiastic HR Officer, you will recognise yourself in the following profile:

• BSc in Human Resource Management or related field

• Experience as HR professional (or intern) in a multilingual organisation. Experience in a start/scale-up is greatly welcomed

• Well-versed in sustainable HR practices

• Solid organisational and time management skills

• You love cooperating in a team and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A strong command of the English language
